The cops did take our personal cell phones as well as the stream phone - and worst of all my camera.
They told Em that if they sat with her and went through her phone together, she could leave with it. They lied.
I definitely gave them a hard time because We've done probably over 40 catches in New York and those catches led to arrests and convictions WITHOUT Giving up all of our property.
Investigator got big mad when he INTIMIDATED ME Into signing the gear over or threaten to get a warrant (because I said Fucking boomers don't understand technology) - which I admit, was a little far - but the thing is none of our equipment contained evidence of the crime.
We did not decoy this catch, and we don't have tons of money to just get new gear. They took roughly $5,000 worth of equipment from ours - and we're going back to the old days of using signs to drive home lol.
So as of right now, we're figuring out next steps with how to proceed. But bottom line is we're okay - and hopefully them taking all of our stuff lands this guy in jail for the rest of his days (he's very old)

So we are obviously going to keep catching despite the temporary nonsense we’re going through. Our friend / lawyer is about to send a demand letter for all our stuff to be returned, but unfortunately there are no guarantees as of now.
Fortunately, @PPLISUPREME has provided us with some old phones to serve as personal / work. We still need to get a new stream phone, and @katieodonuts brother lent us his camera for this upcoming small trip to NC we’re planning to catch a handful of guys. We are blessed to have such a great support network.
However, these are temporary solutions as of right now - and in the event that the whackos at Otsego County DA in New York insist on keeping our stuff for the next year (which is like 5000 bucks worth of gear minimum) - we’ll be in a bind.
